We utilize gentle handling methods to keep the cattle as stress free as possible. This allows them to produce less stress hormones and results in a much healthier animal.
Free Choice Mineral Supplements
Free choice minerals plays a big part in preventing un-necessary health problems and re-mineralizing poor pastures over time.
NO Vaccinations
After having experienced bad reactions to vaccinations as a child, I have little confidence in their safety being used in our food. I do not vaccinate my animals.
NO Grain
Cattle are herbivores which means they are best suited for eating grass. We want to fully benefit from the healthy CLAs that grass fed beef produces. We only supplement with field peas, organic alfalfa pellets, hay, molasses and black oil sunflower seeds as needed.
No Chemical Wormers
I'm not comfortable with putting chemical wormers on my skin, much less in my mouth. We use rotational grazing, robust genetics, and free choice minerals to address health issues that can weaken cattle immunity.
